The Premier Academy’s School Council are celebrating a positive year of fundraising for the school’s chosen charity, The Guide Dogs Association.
During the 2024/25 academic year, the School Council implemented fundraising initiatives, including non-school uniform days and the ever-popular Stationery Shops, which raised an impressive £575.72 for The Guide Dogs through these initiatives.
With the 2025/26 academic year now in full swing, the School Council is delighted to announce that the chosen charity for this year is Happy Days Children’s Charity.
The charity organises and funds special days such as trips to the seaside, theatres, zoos, museums, outdoor activity centres, sporting events as well as other educational and cultural activities for children right across the UK living with mental, physical and emotional difficulties.
This charity supports over 30,000 children nationwide and also supports children with making new friends and building their confidence.
The Council know that you will all support them and help to raise as much money as possible for the new charity – the Council’s aim is to raise over £600 this time.
The School Council are also pleased to announce that this year they have raised an amazing amount of money in the Stationery Shop. They raised £1822.54 and a percentage of this money will start the ball rolling for the new charity.
