Our Year 5 children are preparing to give a live broadcast which will be seen around the world for this year’s Global Science Opera called Unfold The Universe. The song they have helped create is about the James Webb Telescope and forms one scene in this international opera which will even be seen by scientists and astronauts at NASA Headquarters in Washington DC! Some of our Year 6 children have already made recordings which will form part of scenes involving children from other countries such as India, Sri Lanka and Norway. This will be our first live broadcast for a few years so good luck to the children!

A record number of over 80 children in Year 5 and 6 have signed up for our Young Voices Choir, preparing to perform at the O2 Arena in London in January. Good luck to all those children involved as they prepare to perform alongside pop stars and dancers, singing songs from Moana, Matilda and more, including one song with sign language.
Over 160 children are now receiving instrumental lessons at TPA! This is one of the highest numbers of any school in Milton Keynes. The best advice to help them make the most of their lessons and enjoy making music is to try to play regularly between lessons. There will be optional performance opportunities in school for all these children over the year so we look forward to hearing them play.
Meanwhile, children across the Academy have been learning lots of new songs to enjoy singing in our assemblies as well as playing a mixture of percussion, recorders, keyboards and guitars across the different year groups.
