Once again we are taking part in the annual Waddesdon Manor Christmas Art Project. This year the children listened to the story ‘The Lights That Dance in the Night’ by Yuval Zommer, which is a wonderfully festive picture book. Yuval Zommer imagines the Northern Lights’ fleeting journey from space to Earth and how they weave a special magic for the animals and people living in the frozen lands below. The children then had to think about what brings them joy and they have written their ideas onto a ‘swoosh’ which will be displayed as part of the project throughout the festive period.

The children in Year 6 have also created three-dimensional star lanterns out of willow, which we sent to the Learning Team at Waddesdon Manor. The swooshes and the star lanterns will be displayed inside the Coach House Gallery at the Stables at Waddesdon Manor for all to see.
