The Premier Academy was transformed into a wonderful world of storytelling for World Book Day earlier this Learning Block.

The children arrived beautifully dressed as their favourite book characters. From classic fairy tale heroes to modern adventurers, the creativity on display was absolutely brilliant.

A huge thank you to all the parents and carers for your incredible effort in helping bring these stories to life!

The core focus of the day was all about reading for pleasure. Our goal is to inspire a lifelong love of reading in every child, showing them that books are exciting doorways to new worlds, adventures, and endless imagination.

Throughout the day, the children took part in a fantastic range of activities based on stories that they had read.

This also included some children participating in a Live Lesson, hosted by the BBC, which looked at a person’s reading journey and how many people can enjoy stories in different ways.

Children across the Academy shared their thoughts on reading and the day:

“I love reading, it was great to dress up as something I like!”

 

“Reading is great, I can pretend I’m in another world!”

 

“I liked dressing up. It was fun to do activities about books!”
